Safety is an important part of daily life at the 7T Facility, especially as it pertains to working in a high-field magnetic environment. We have developed several infrastructure and administrative controls to ensure the safety of Centre staff, researchers and visitors.
The 7T Safety Policy Manual outlines these safety measures. The safety procedures outlined herewith are intended to complement other University of British Columbia’s safety protocols that apply to the 7T facility (e.g. chemical safety, laboratory safety, animal handling, machine shop safety).
